The sixth leg of the World Rally Championship will be held in June in the North-West of Sardinia with special stages near the Resort & SPA Le Dune.

Everything is ready for the start of one of the best sporting events in Northern Sardinia, the leg of the Rally d’Italia that follows the exciting dirt roads of Anglona and Logudoro, from Alghero to Castelsardo, ending up at Argentiera.

An international event organized by ACI Sport in collaboration with the Sardinia Autonomous Region which will be broadcast live on television worldwide on the morning of Sunday June 12th, this is one of the most challenging races through the toughest of the WRC routes in Sardinia which will test both the machines and the technical qualities of the drivers with 19 special stages and 325 kilometres of timed runs.

Among the new features of the Sardinian leg of the 2016 World Rally Championship is the eagerly anticipatedshakedown special from Olmedo to Monte Baranta on Thursday June 9th. Given last year’s success, the same day there will also be a special two kilometres opening event at Ittiri Arena Show, the shortest stage of the competition.

On Friday June 10th, the 2016 Sardinia Rally Italia includes eight special stages (four stages repeated twice), that will take place near some of the towns near the Resort Le Dune at Badesi: Castelsardo (15 minutes away), Tergu (20 minutes) and Osilo (50 minutes).

Saturday June 11th will see the longest stages of the race on Monte Acuto with the famous Monte Lerno jump (an hour’s drive from Badesi), one of the most spectacular points of the whole Sardinian leg of the Rally Italia.

Sunday June 12th sees the grand final with the power stage from Sassari to Argentiera and a spectacular finish on the beach at Porto Palmas (about an hour from Badesi) that will decide the winner of the sixth stage of the 2016 World Rally.

An unmissable event, one of the things to do in June in and around Badesi ; a high-energy event both for enthusiasts and the simply curious. The Resort at Badesi is the ideal choice for those who want to stay in a hotel near the main stages of the 2016 World Rally in Sardinia without sacrificing the exclusive services and facilities, the sea, and the fine white sandy beaches.
