The Independent: Le Dune among the best family resorts in Europe

The renowned British newspaper has named Resort & SPA Le Dune in Badesi “Best for teens” in its 2026 selection of the best European hotels with kids’ clubs for families.

A new international recognition for Resort & SPA Le Dune in Badesi, Northern Sardinia. The Independent has included it in its selection “The best hotels and resorts with kids’ clubs in Europe for 2026”, choosing it as “Best for teens”, the best resort for holidays with teenagers.

The selection was curated by travel editor Lucy Halfhead, who in recent years has travelled with her daughter in search of the best family experiences. In presenting Le Dune, the journalist describes it as “one of the Mediterranean’s best-value family resorts”, highlighting the rich range of options dedicated to children and teenagers, as well as the opportunity for parents to carve out moments of relaxation.

The recognition celebrates one of the most distinctive aspects of Resort & SPA Le Dune: a holiday concept designed to accompany children and young people through the different stages of growing up, with spaces and activities also created for teenagers, an age group that is not always easy to engage. Alongside the Baby, Mini and Junior Clubs, the resort also offers a Teen Club dedicated to young people up to 17 years old, where they can meet new friends and choose from numerous sports and recreational activities.

The offering ranges from five-a-side football, archery, beach volleyball, minibasket and tennis to the sailing school, available at an extra charge, giving teenagers the freedom to enjoy new experiences and spend time with peers.

A resort for the whole family, from the sea to Villaggio Fantasia

Surrounded by the greenery of Marina di Badesi, Resort & SPA Le Dune overlooks the long Li Junchi beach, awarded the Blue Flag since 2016, facing the waters of the Gulf of Asinara. Five hotels, ranging from 4-star to 4-star Superior, make up the resort, set among sand dunes, junipers and Mediterranean vegetation, with services and experiences designed for different ages. Among the places most loved by younger guests is Villaggio Fantasia, a large area dedicated to play and discovery. Completing the experience are the resort’s vegetable garden and aviary, together with sports and outdoor activities that fill the days of children and teenagers. It is precisely this variety that also impressed The Independent. An international recognition that rewards a way of experiencing family holidays based on freedom, shared experiences and thoughtful attention for every age.

When children have fun, parents are on holiday too

One of the resort’s strengths is the possibility of alternating time spent together with moments dedicated to each member of the family. While children and teenagers take part in club activities, parents can relax on the beach, enjoy a break at the Centro Le Sabine SPA or discover the resort’s gastronomic offering. There is plenty of choice at the table too: 10 restaurants, including the Peter Pan dining room for younger children, make it possible to alternate Sardinian specialities, Mediterranean fish dishes, meat dishes, as well as a spaghetti restaurant and pizzeria with a wood-fired oven, turning dinner into a moment to enjoy together or, whenever desired, an occasion all to oneself.
